Microsoft has privately released an Android app called Copilot. The new software, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, removes the requirement for the Bing mobile app and gives users access to Microsoft’s AI-powered Copilot. Copilot, discovered by Neowin, has been reachable on Android for about a week, but an iOS version isn’t yet available.

Similar to ChatGPT, Microsoft’s Copilot app for Android allows users to create images using DALL-E 3. it helps to access chatbot features, and draft text for emails and documents. In addition, it offers free access to the most recent GPT-4 model from OpenAI. That is a supplementary fee if you use ChatGPT.
The Copilot app for Android was released a little more than a month. It was just after Microsoft changed the name of Bing Chat to Copilot. Microsoft first introduced its AI push earlier this year by incorporating an interface akin to ChatGPT. It is into the search results for its Bing search engine. While that is still accessible, Microsoft has removed the Bing Chat branding from Copilot. It is allowing it to function more as a stand-alone program that is also accessible at copilot.microsoft.com, much like ChatGPT.
Given that Bing Chat Enterprise was also rebranded as Copilot, releasing mobile apps for Copilot seems like the next sensible step in growing this independent Copilot experience. Although there are currently not any signs of an iOS version of Copilot, I expected one soon.In the meanwhile, you may always use the current Copilot features on an iPhone or iPad by using the Bing app.
