Integrated directly within Google Docs, the eSignature feature simplifies the process for solo entrepreneurs and small businesses to manage contracts. Whether it’s customer agreements, vendor contracts, or stakeholder approvals, users can now effortlessly set up signature fields within Google Docs to acquire digital signatures for vital documents like contracts.
Moreover, this tool offers the flexibility to request signatures from individuals outside the Google ecosystem, emphasizing its aim to replace the need for other eSign software.
In addition to the core functionality, the updated service includes new attributes such as an automated audit trail report for completed contracts. Users can now seek signatures from multiple parties, regardless of whether they have a Gmail address. Additionally, the feature extends to initiating an eSignature directly on PDF files stored in Drive.
