One year after the news of sharing she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, the singer isn’t able to can control certain body movements, according to her sister Claudette Dion.
According to her sister this news surely broke her heart out. Celine Dion has always been disciplined and has constantly worked hard. Everyone motivated her to do well and properly.

The news of Celine Dion loosing the ability to control her muscles was surely devastating and many fans couldn’t really hold on.
In May, Celine had to cancel her Courage World Tour due to the rare neurological disorder. it can surely cause painful muscle spasms and stiffness.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again,” Celine Dion wrote this on Instagram. “I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.”

Celine Dion also added that the rarity of the condition means there has been scant research into a cure: “The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle. This is what comes to get me. Because it’s one out of a million case, the scientists haven’t done that much research because it didn’t affect that many people.” It was said by her in one of the conversation and surely touched everyone’s heart.
SPS is an autoimmune and neurological disorder. It causes rigidity in the torso and limbs. Symptoms even include muscle spasms, which have affected Dion’s ability to sing and perform. This can be triggered by environmental stimuli (like loud noises) or emotional stress.
She is indeed trying her best to continue with her career amidst of the health issues faced by her. She needs constant support of her fan base and will to perform to her best.
