Looking for something interesting related to celebrities and movies? Here we are with Oscar Prediction 2024 whose all updates are now out!
Following the Golden Globe nominations, there is a distinct field of four contenders for best picture: the comedy “Barbie” and the drama “Oppenheimer” from Universal Pictures, and the drama “Killers of the Flower Moon” from Apple Original Pictures.\
“Barbenheimer” dominated the Globes with nine and eight nods for “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” respectively.
Greta Gerwig’s meta-comedy from Warner Bros, tied with “Cabaret” (1972) as the second-most nominated movie in Globes history, is showing it not only the highest-grossing movie of the year but it’s also viable to take home the Academy’s most coveted prize, despite being an unconventional candidate.
Oscar Prediction 2024:
Its “arch-nemesis” “Oppenheimer” from Universal Pictures landed in every category it was expected, including three for acting, Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr and Emily Blunt. Christopher Nolan’s historical biopic about the man who created the atomic bomb checks all the boxes of an Oscar winner. Still, at the Globes, it’s unclear how many statuettes it can take home outside of directing and best picture, given the competitive races it faces.
Jonathan Glazer’s darkly methodical historical drama Area of Interest, loosely based on the 2014 novel by Martin Amis, won three Los Angeles Film Critics Awards, including best picture, direction, music for Mica Levi and shared with Sandra Hüller, who shared her triumph. in her second international with the film “Anatomy of the Fall”. With three LAFCA wins and four Globe nods, “Anatomy” makes a compelling case to sneak into Best Picture.
Alexander Payne’s “The Holdovers” and Celine Song’s “Past Lives” are notable for their recent rise in guild shows and diverse tastes. Both work well in early precursors and can continue to increase. This can lead them to gain additional attention in categories not yet tracked by experts, such as editing, filming and more.
