Angelina Jolie shares her thoughts on the current Hollywood landscape, expressing that if she were embarking on her career today, she might not opt to pursue acting.
"In an interview with WSJ. Magazine, Jolie remarked, “I wouldn’t be an actress today,' indicating a preference for theater over Hollywood."
“When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much.”
She further explained, "Given my upbringing in Hollywood, I never held it in high regard. I never saw it as truly significant or essential."
Jolie shared her intentions to eventually depart from Los Angeles and move back to her residence in Cambodia, revealing, "It's part of the aftermath of my divorce."
I no longer have the freedom to live and travel as openly as before. I'll relocate when the opportunity arises. I come from a rather superficial environment.
Hollywood isn't a healthy environment compared to all the places worldwide, so the pursuit is for authenticity.
The Oscar-winning star clarifies that she isn't dating and doesn't actively maintain a social life, mentioning that her "closest companions are refugees."
Jolie highlighted the strong bond she shares with her children, emphasizing, "They're the closest individuals in my life, my companions."
